Request versus purchase

Submitting the website form only requests information and does not create ownership or require payment. Before purchase, Curly’s Cows Ranch identifies the live animal and confirms the ownership percentage, listed live-animal share price, expected processing charges, timing and fulfillment details.

Ownership before slaughter

• The customer purchases a whole, half or quarter ownership interest in the identified live animal.
• The ownership agreement and live-animal sale must be completed before slaughter.
• A prospective owner may inspect and choose the animal if desired.
• Each owner’s name, address and telephone number will be provided to the licensed processor before slaughter.

Animal price and processing charges

The introductory live-animal ownership prices are $3,600 for a whole animal, $1,800 for a half interest and $900 for a quarter interest. Processing is charged separately and includes cutting, wrapping and vacuum sealing. A whole owner pays 100% of the shared processing cost, each half owner pays 50%, and each quarter owner pays 25%. Final charges depend on hanging weight, transportation and any owner-requested specialty services. An estimate is confirmed before purchase, and the processor determines the final hanging weight and charges.

Current processing window

The current appointment is scheduled for early December 2026 at a USDA-inspected establishment. The beef is expected to age for 14 days after harvest and before final cutting, wrapping, vacuum sealing and freezing. Mid-to-late December fulfillment is an estimate and may change with the processor’s schedule.

Private-use restrictions

Meat prepared under the custom exemption will be marked “Not for Sale.” It is exclusively for the registered owner, members of the owner’s household, the owner’s nonpaying guests and employees. It may not be resold or donated.

Payment and cancellation

Once an ownership agreement is accepted, the ownership interest is assigned and the live-animal purchase is completed, payment to Curly’s Cows Ranch is nonrefundable. If the ranch cannot provide the identified ownership interest before slaughter, the amount paid to the ranch will be refunded. Processor fees and the processor’s cancellation rules are separate.

Cut plans and deadlines

Half and quarter owners receive Curly’s Standard Cut with no substitutions. A whole-animal owner may submit a custom cut request by the processor’s deadline. If the request is not received by that deadline, Curly’s Standard Cut will be used.

Important confirmation

Website language and an ownership agreement are only parts of a compliant process. Final arrangements remain subject to the licensed processor’s acceptance and applicable Mississippi and federal requirements.
